It may look like a 1980’s Chevrolet C20 square body, but that is only half the story. We take a look at this sleeper built around a 1987 Chevrolet pickup with a 6.6L Duramax diesel shoehorned under the hood making this a unicorn of custom builds. We take a closer look at this build from our friends at @dmax_squared
It's all in the details
The engine is a LBZ – 6.6L Duramax Diesel from 2006 Silverado 3500HD mated to a DmaxStore Stage 3 built Allison 1000 6 speed to handle getting the power to the ground with a Dana Super 60 from 2006 F350 Superduty.
Lighting Package:
Dmaxstore didn’t skimp when it came to adding lights to this insane build. Starting at the front of the truck is a is a set of Squadron Sport and Squadron Pro fog lights inside a custom fabricated bumper providing illumination down low when in dusty situations. This combination will give the driver a great blend of near field and long distance lighting for safety. Moving up to the a-pillars is a pair of LP4 Pros mounted on custom fabricated mounts. This allows for more illumination within a ditch light setup, as the LP4’s IPT (integrated peripheral technology) allows for a 200-degree spread of light. For the roof, dmaxstore opted to outfit their C20 with our popular 8XL Linkable light bar mounted on custom mounts. The XL Linkable provides 45-degrees of adjustability within each individual light.
We are excited to be featured on a special build like this C20 duramax diesel swapped truck. It hits the perfect balance of nostalgia and technology all rolled into one sweet truck. To see more information on this build visit dmaxstore . For lighting, be sure to visit bajadesigns.com
